Groin pain is common and debilitating amongst sports participants. Mostly it will settle with rest. However, protracted or severe pain requires further assessment and evaluation.
Groin Pain Diagnosis
Diagnosis is based on detailed examination and sometimes ultrasound or MRI scan.
Surgery to repair any defect can be performed under general or local anaesthetic.
What to expect after surgery
Surgery is usually as a day case and sporting activities can be resumed in about 4 weeks.
